After four straight months of playing shows alternating between France and, well, the rest of Europe, Washington welcomes back Tender Forever (also known as Melanie Valera, who herself hails from Bordeaux) for a quartet of Northwestern festival dates.
Tender Forever made boat-rocking waves last year with her eponymous debut album, “The Soft and the Hardcore” (out now on K Records) and her notoriously ultra-energized live show (I caught her at the Blue Room in Eugene, OR and during the chorus of her album’s title track, she found it necessary to continuously punch me in the shoulder as hard as she could).
